Yoga and Pilates Studio
Summer has a funny way of making us want to do everything, all at once. Suddenly, if your calendar isnโt packed tighter than a beach cooler, it feels like youโre doing it wrong.
But this month? Weโre opting out of the hustle.
Instead, weโre leaning into Ahimsa this week, which is really just a beautiful yoga word for being incredibly kind to yourself. Maybe just for an hour you can ignore your inbox and eat a melting watermelon popsicle, blast your NEW favorite summer PLAYLIST with the windows down, and actually make it to your mat for a few quiet breaths. Give yourself permission to just… slow down!
No rushing, no extra pressure. We are so damn grateful to be a part of your world, and we canโt wait to catch you in class soon!

Instructions

For the rest of this week (till the end of Friday night), choose one each day you try to give to yourself:

Is it just me or does it feel like by the time warm weather finally gets here, I’m already running on empty?
We spend the winter in a kind of hibernation, slowly start to thaw with spring, and then suddenlyโboomโ80ยฐ sunny days are here, kids are out of school, and we’ll be counting the days they go back sooner than we anticipated. Yet, one glance at the calendar has me completely overwhelmed. Again. Uggh.
Here’s my top 5 list of things I don’t want to carry into summer:
1. Rushed Living
Instead of racing from one thing to the next, Iโm choosing to anchor myself in the present moment and savor the season. This summer I’m all about trading the frantic hustle for intentional pacing, both on and off the yoga mat.
2. Mental Clutter from the first half of the year
The first six months of the year brought their own very “fun” lessons, but itโs time to clear out the mental junk drawer. Iโm releasing the “should-haves,” and old narratives that no longer serve my growth. Consider this a mid-year energetic reset, making space for fresh perspectives and my peace of mind.
3. Obligation energy
Do you say “yes” to things then turn around and kick yourself for saying YES when really you meant to say “no”? Our energy is a precious resource, and I’m dedicating mine to real authentic connections and activities that genuinely light me up. If it doesnโt bring joy, itโs a gentle but firm “no.”
4. Nervous system burnout
Living in a constant state of fight-or-flight is exhausting, and my body (yours too!) deserves a soft place to land. This summer, Iโm prioritizing restorative practices (hello Sunday evening Let Go), deep breathing (breathwork yurt event in July), and scheduling “unscheduled” time to soothe my nervous system. Summer is the time to shift away from chronic stress and step into deep nervous system regulation. Yes, please.
5. Body criticism
Summer should be celebrated, not feared because of unrealistic aesthetic standards. I am letting go of the harsh inner critic and choosing to view my body through a lens of profound gratitude for all it allows me to do. This season, my focus is entirely on how my body feels, which is, strong, vibrant, and worthy of love just as it is.
To help all of us anchor into these intentions, weโve intentionally curated our summer lineup at the studio to support your mind, body, and nervous system.
Here is a sneak peek at what we are bringing into the sunshine with us this season:

The choice is yours: are we staying stuck in the hustle, or are we diving headfirst into a summer of ease, strength, and good vibes? (We highly recommend the second option.)
Thank you for being such a beautiful part of our community. Letโs make this a season of less rushing, more breathing, and tons of laughter.
See you on the mat!
As the seasons shift, our bodies and minds crave a different rhythm. Fall is natureโs invitation to slow down, soften, and prepare for rest. Happy Hour Yoga loves aligning with the seasons, and autumn gives us a chance to honor balance both between movement and stillness, light and dark, energy and surrender.
This blog is a cozy guide to help you create your own evening ritual for fall, blending nourishing flavors, calming sounds, and a guided meditation for deep rest.

This golden milk latte is perfect for unwinding at the end of a crisp fall day. It blends the soothing spices of golden milk with the seasonal sweetness of pumpkin.

Weโve arrived at the top, the Crown Chakra, or Sahasrara. This energy center sits just above your head and represents spiritual connection, enlightenment, and universal wisdom.

โ
Spiritually connected
โ

This is where ego softens, and soul rises.
When the Crown Chakra is out of Balance…You may feel:

โ Cynical or closed to possibility
โ Isolated, depressed, or empty
โ Overly intellectual or ungrounded
Too much emphasis on thought can pull you away from presence.
